we ran with excitement and spirit -we ran because we were coaxed by a friend-- we ran for the first time because we believed we could-- we walked because it said on the shirt "fun run/walk"--some of us strolled leisurely at our own pace looking up to the sky through the trees simply appreciating life a bit more that September 3rd morning-- some of us laughed, some of us gasped, some of us lengthened or stride with confidence and stength--other's felt a degree of pain that they just hoped would subside-- some of us kicked it in thinking that the purple monkey awaited only for those that would finish at the top-- oh but the spirit of the purple monkey- Ben's spirit of Joy is EEZY to grasp-- EEEZY to embrace each day-- A special thanks to those who ran with that image of Ben's smirk in your head-- Thanks to Jen for the story--Thanks to all who were with us in spirit and love (This email was submitted by Danny Garcia on Monday, June 28, 2004)
